Some news
I have decided to shut down Readycheck at the end of Midnight Season 2. I don't know exactly when this will be, as at the time of writing there's no Season 3 date, but I expect it'll be sometime early 2027.
Until that date, every premium feature will be free for everyone, and all active subscriptions won't be charged again.
I appreciate and thank everyone who has used Readycheck over the years, and regret the impact this is going to cause some of you.
If anyone wants to contact me for whatever reason, you can do so via the Contact page.
What it means for paying subscribers
I will cancel all active subscriptions, so no one should get charged further.
I'll keep an eye on the charges as a precaution and refund anything that does slip through.
Some of you may have received emails about future upcoming renewals before this announcement went live - these shouldn't result in charges, but they'll be refunded if they do.
If you have any specific questions, please contact me using the info on the Contact page.
Some personal thoughts/ramblings/feelings
This is something that makes me feel sad. While there are reasons for taking these actions, there's still part of me that's being lost.
Readycheck, and the my-guild-only precursor to it, have been part of my life for the last 12.5 years. Twelve and a half years. That's such a crazy long period of time to be thinking about and maintaining a project. I've been "the readycheck guy" for so long, and now I won't be, and there are a lot of emotions tied to that change.
On a positive note, building Readycheck is something that has made me feel proud. Everyone who used it, who messaged me to say how much they love it, who gave feedback and suggestions, even those who so very politely complained about problems, you've made me feel like I created something that was good and helpful in a way that I never really expected to.
I am so very thankful for being able to look back on all the positive experiences that have been tied to Readycheck.
